This guidance document provides information and explains the difference between exposure and contamination. It also provides guidance and standing operating guides on how to assess internal contamination, perform radiation surveys for contamination, and the tools necessary to perform the assessments. It is Appendix 5 of the Los Angeles County Multi-Agency Radiological Response Plan.
