The Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists, CSTE, is an organization of member states and territories representing public health epidemiologists. CSTE, as a national nonprofit organization, acts as the professional home for applied epidemiologists representing multiple levels of public health practice. CSTE works to advance public health policy and epidemiology capacity, while providing information, education and developmental support of practicing epidemiologists in a wide range of areas as well as expertise for program and surveillance efforts. CSTE supports radiation emergency preparedness through the Disaster Epidemiology Subcommittee. This subcommittee brings together epidemiologists from across subject disciplines to share best practices and collaborate on epidemiologic approaches towards improving all-hazard disaster preparedness and response capacities at the state, tribal, local, and territorial levels.
