The Society for Disaster Medicine and Public Health (SDMPH) is a global professional organization for the promotion of the interaction of the medical and public health professions in emergency response. The SDMPH has conducted multiple conferences with specific themes of radiation response and nuclear war casualty management. The Journal of Disaster Medicine and Public Health, the official journal of SDMPH, has published an entire issue on radiation-related casualty response, and regularly publishes individual peer-reviewed articles in this area.
